Obituary

Richard E. Hammarstrom, 75, of Whitman, died Thursday October 30th in the Sachem Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Guillmette) Hammarstrom, son of the late Ernest and Doris (Emery) Hammartrom. Born in Quincy, brought up in Abington and was a graduate of Abington High. He was a custodian at the Cushing Hospital, Abington Schools and area Nursing Homes before retiring from the Bra Burn Nursing home in Whitman. Richard enjoyed dancing.
He is survived by ,his brother Ronald Hammarstrom and his wife Alice of Abington ; six nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be held on Sunday November 2nd from 2:00-4:00PM only in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the Rotary circle) Whitman . Private Graveside services will be held. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut Street, Brockton, MA. 02301
