Obituary

Richard “Richie” Thomas Raddatz passed away after a short, but incredibly brave battle with cancer at Brockton Hospital on March 6, 2026 surrounded by family. He was 60 years old and the son of the late Ernest R. Raddatz and Virginia E. (Travers) Raddatz. He was predeceased by his older brother Ernest R. Raddatz, older sister Virginia M. Raddatz, and soulmate Michelle Fay Davis.

Richie is survived by his sister, Bobbi Resendes, and her husband, Jose, of East Bridgewater; his sister, Toni Woolf, and her husband, Bill, of Whitman; his brother, Stephen "Tate” Raddatz of Whitman; and his sister, Jessica Myrick of Pembroke. He is also survived by his nephew and best friend, Anthony Raddatz; his nieces, Jillian McKeever, Rachel Spencer, and Kelsi Raddatz; his nephews, Stephen and Matthew Raddatz; his great-niece, Mia Raddatz; his and Michelle’s beloved cat, Astro; and many cherished friends.

Richie loved being in good company and had a way of bringing friends and family together for drinks, stories, and laughter. He also brought great joy and energy to his workplace, where he worked in demolition alongside his nephew Anthony, proudly serving as his trusted right-hand man. Richie will be remembered most for his generous heart. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or show up when someone needed him. His kindness and loyalty will leave a lasting impression on family, friends, and anyone who was fortunate enough to know him.

Family and friends are invited to attend Richie's visiting hours on Saturday, March 21st from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
