Obituary

Rita M. (Tisdale) Tibbetts 90, a longtime resident of Pembroke, formerly of East Bridgewater and Brockton died peacefully at home on December 26th. She was born in Brockton on June 2, 1918.

She was the beloved and devoted wife for 60 years to Richard B. Tibbetts and loving mother of Martha E. Tibbetts-Meier and her husband Stephen of Hanover and Deborah M. Tibbetts-Tumiel and her husband Maciej and loving grandmother to Artur S. and Rita E. Tumiel all of Panama City, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Davis and Grace Kingman, her mother Elizabeth and her brothers Richard Tisdale and Bernard "Bunny" Tisdale.

She was a longtime member of the East Bridgewater Women's Club, the Visiting Nurse Association of East Bridgewater, and the Pembroke Country Club.

Private funeral services were held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations in Rita's memory may be made to the Old Colony Hospice 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
