Robert D. Kard, 70, of Brockton passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Robert was born in Straubing, Germany on April 29, 1956. The son of the late Robert and Edeltraud (Rackl) Kard. Robert moved to the United States and became a U.S. citizen. He graduated from Whitman Hanson High School, and furthered his education at I.T.T. Tech. He studied auto mechanics which he later perused a career in for many years.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially their fishing trips they’d take. He took an interest in collecting model classic cars, as well as trains.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Linda (Zipeto) Kard; son Robert D. Kard; granddaughter Rylee Kard, his sister Dorreen (Kard) Delmonico and her husband Ronald Delmonico; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Robert’s visiting hours on Tuesday, August 18th from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A burial will immediately follow at St. James Cemetery.
