Obituary

Ruth M. McDonnell 45, died unexpectedly Sunday February 17th at South Shore Hospital.

Born in Quincy she was the daughter of Geraldine (Devine) McDonnell of Hanson and the late Martin L. McDonnell.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her fiancée Lynn Remick, her sisters Carolynn Andrea, Susan Binley, and Paula Garcia, her brothers Kevin, Christopher, Martin B. and Denis McDonnell. She is also survived by 15 nieces & nephews and 2 great nieces. She will be greatly missed by her dog Rufus.

She was an avid fan of all New England sports.

Ruth was a close friend of Bill W. and a person who gave much of herself to others. She was loved by many.

Her funeral will be held Friday February 22nd at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman followed by a mass at 9:00 AM in St. Joseph The Worker Church, Hanson. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson. Visiting hours will be held Thursday February 21st from 4 – 8 PM.
