Scott F.
Stevens
d. Oct 23, 2026
Scott F. Stevens, 61, of Abington, Massachusetts, passed away on October 23, 2026 at Brockton Hospital after a brief, unexpected illness.
Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts in 1965, he was the only child of William M. Stevens Jr., of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Alice (Sime) Stevens of Abington, and the grandson of his cherished Julia (West, Sime) Harris, of Abington.
He was the beloved husband of Marlene (Bowker) Stevens for 33 years. Loving father of their daughter Morgan Julia Stevens and her fiancé James Linskey. Scott also leaves behind his dogs, Tala and Wednesday, and horses Ranger, Mocha, Jonna, and his favorite, Cash.
Though his family was small, he had so much “family” met throughout life, including within his career, which began as a mechanic. He went on to become the youngest fully certified Honda motorcycle mechanic in the country at Bettencourt’s in West Bridgewater and then culminated his career as owner of A.C.S.Racing in Hanover, MA.
He further grew his “family” in the horse world, which began when he gave a couple of riding lessons to his daughter as a Christmas gift. He loved being at horse shows, supporting the barn kids, talking to everyone he met, helping those who needed it, and reminding everyone “this is supposed to be fun”. He could often be found sitting in the barn, listening to music, and sharing a good whiskey and peanut M&M’s with his horses.
Scott had a thirst for knowledge and learning, he was always known as the guy who could fix anything. If he wasn’t sure, he researched for customers and friends coming to his shop with what “no-one could fix”. He also spent thousands of hours researching and improving the lives and comfort of Morgan’s multitude of animals, even the reptiles, but especially the horses, with a core focus on their wellness and comfort.
Scott loved riding his Honda, occasionally at rather high speeds, going on charity rides with hundreds, or a small ride on some nice back roads with friends. He enjoyed a good meal or nice bourbon with friends, and really loved live music, especially the blues in a small local venue. Scott's great love of his daughter, Morgan, and supporting her dreams throughout life, with his best friend of 43 years, Marlene, at his side was most important to him. The memories, and all the laughter that comes with them, will live on in all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours, Wednesday November 4th from 4pm to 7pm, with service to follow, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman, MA (Rt. 58 at the Whitman Rotary).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either of the following organizations:
