Stephen A Sacchetti 83, of Whitman, Massachusetts died peacefully on April 22 at his homeafter a long battle with cancer.He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1943 the only child of Adamo Sacchetti and Elba(Magrini) Sacchetti.

He Graduated from Thayer Academy in 1960 and Boston University in 1964.He was a Physical Education teacher and Health teacher for Foxborough Middle School formore than 50 years. He loved teaching. He also enjoyed coaching students in track.

Steve loved spending his time with his wife and children enjoyed spending time during thesummer in his home in Westport Island, Maine.He liked hiking in the White Mountains, Disney with his children and grandchildren, JimmyBuffet and drawing and painting.

He was the devoted husband of Sally (Caskin) Sacchetti for 61 years. He leaves three sons,Stephen Sacchetti of Bucksport, Maine, William Sacchetti of Foxborough and MichaelSacchetti of Plymouth and a daughter Amy Sacchetti Mahoney of Whitman. He also leaveseight grandchildren, Peter Sacchetti and Julia Sacchetti of Columbus,Ohio, Nicole Sacchettiand Jon Sacchetti of Foxborough, Alexander Mahoney and Millie Mahoney of Whitman andDomenic Sacchetti and Stella Sacchetti of Plymouth.Relatives and friends are invited to attend 

Funeral Service on Friday May 1 at All Saints Church, Whitman at 11:00am.In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
