Stephen A. Sacchetti, 83, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on April 22nd at his home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1943 the only child of Adamo Sacchetti and Elba (Magrini) Sacchetti.

He Graduated from Thayer Academy in 1960 and Boston University in 1964.He was a Physical Education teacher and Health teacher for Foxborough Middle School for more than 50 years. He loved teaching. He also enjoyed coaching students in track.

Steve loved spending his time with his wife and children. He enjoyed spending time during the summer in his home in Westport Island, Maine. Steve liked to hike in the White Mountains, trips to Disney with his children and grandchildren, Jimmy Buffet, drawing, and painting.

He was the devoted husband of Sally (Caskin) Sacchetti for 61 years. He leaves three sons, Stephen Sacchetti of Bucksport, Maine, William Sacchetti of Foxborough and Michael Sacchetti of Plymouth and a daughter Amy Sacchetti Mahoney of Whitman. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Peter Sacchetti and Julia Sacchetti of Columbus, Ohio, Nicole Sacchettiand Jon Sacchetti of Foxborough, Alexander Mahoney and Millie Mahoney of Whitman and Domenic Sacchetti and Stella Sacchetti of Plymouth.

Family and friends are invited to attend Steve's Funeral Service on Friday May 1st at the All Saints Church, Whitman, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
