With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stuart Sheldon on July 24, 2026.

Stuart was the beloved son of the late Waldo T. Sheldon and Irene E. (Cady) Sheldon. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leonard, Carleton, Edward, and Stanley.

In January 1959, Stuart married the love of his life, Barbara (Balonis) Sheldon, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting friendships.

He is survived by his children, Robert S. Sheldon and his wife, Tricia; Debra Randall and her husband, Russell; and Linda Sheldon MacLellan. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Robert S. Sheldon and his wife, Amanda; Kiley (Sheldon) Ross and her husband, Justin; Hannah Sheldon; and Alex and Andrew Calore. Stuart was also the proud great-grandfather of Joshua Sheldon and Mackenzie Sheldon.

Raised in Whitman, Massachusetts, Stuart lived there until 2005 before moving to East Bridgewater. He graduated from Weymouth Trade School in 1956 and enlisted in the United States Army in 1958, proudly serving his country in Germany.

Throughout his life, Stuart was a hardworking entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses, including Panel Air Windows. For the past 30 years, he was part of the family business ABC Specialtees in Whitman, where earned the respect of customers and colleagues alike.

Stuart had a passion for hunting, sport fishing, and hot rods. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family. His greatest joy was being a grandfather and great-grandfather, and the time he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him.

He was a dedicated member of Puritan Lodge for more than 50 years and was a past president of both the Green Harbor Tuna Club and the East Coast Cruisers. At the time of his passing, Stuart proudly served as president of the Northville Cemetery Association.

Family and friends are invited to attend Stuart’s visiting hours on Wednesday, July 29th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman. A Masonic service will be held at 6:45 PM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
