Victor Harold Thomson, 84, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026.

Victor was born on October 31, 1941 and raised in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. He was the beloved son of the late Harold and Wilma Thomson, brother to the late Vesta Thomson Shubert, Nancy Thomson Russell and Harold Thomson. He is survived by his sister Carol Thomson along with many nieces and nephews.

After attending Charlestown High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers and carried the values of dedication and hard work throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a respected career as a welder and pipe fitter in the shipyard industry, where his skill, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic earned the admiration of those who worked alongside him.

He enjoyed holiday celebrations with family and friends, particularly Halloween and Christmas. He looked forward to seeing his group of friends in the afternoon for coffee and donuts and loved to shop for bargains.

Above all, Victor will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle with a quick sense of humor. He cherished his family and friends, maintaining close bonds with those he loved. His kindness, loyalty, and steady presence touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Victor leaves behind family members and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. His legacy of service, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Family and friends are welcome to attend visiting hours on Monday, June 8th from 2:00-4:00 PM with a 4:00 PM funeral service to follow at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
