Virginia A. Consolo, 90, of Whitman, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on July 28, 1935, Ginny was the daughter of the late Andrew Nichols (born Andrew Nicholas Efthim in Treska, Albania) and Anastasia (Naun) Nichols, born in Tirana, Albania. She was predeceased by her two sisters and three brothers, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Consolo. The two shared 59 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2013. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on family, love, and community.
A proud graduate of Girls High School, Ginny began her career with New England Telephone as a telephone operator, where she developed lifelong friendships and a reputation for her kindness and cheerful spirit.
Family was at the heart of everything Ginny did. She is survived by her devoted children: Susan and her husband Edward Grace, Andrea and her husband Gregory Fall, and William and his wife Laurie Consolo. She was the adoring grandmother of seven grandchildren, who treasured their “Nana,” and the delighted great-grandmother of eight great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nana Nana!”
Ginny led a full and active life, surrounded by a close circle of friends. She enjoyed staying busy and especially loved creating beautiful ceramic pieces, many of which decorated her home and brought festive warmth to family gatherings throughout the year.
She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday February 13th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM, at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A burial will immediately follow at at St. James Cemetery in Whitman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ginny’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity that was especially close to her heart.
