Obituary

Dennis – Weldon E. "Bud" Erikson 92 died Sunday June 27 afte e period of failing health. He was the husband of 62 years to the late Beverly A. (Sinclair) Erikson who predeceased him in 2003.

Born and raised in Quincy he was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1936. He furthered his education at Boston University and the University of Miami.

After first working for Bethlehem Steel, he settled into the family business of E.A. Erikson Monumental Works of Quincy and later the Henry T. Crosby & Son Company of Harwich here he worked for many years.

He was a long time member of the South Shore Viking Club, and the Stenkil Lodge of Braintree.

While on the Cape he was a member of the Elks, the Vinland Lodge, the German-American Club, the Mid-Cape Men's Club and the Bass River Golf Club. He was fond of golf, as well as many other sports, and continued to play until the age of 90.

He is survived by his daughter Penelope J. (Erikson) Troupe and her husband Stanley, his three grandchildren Bonnie L., Robert C. and Sharon E. Troupe, and his five great grandchildren Emma, Mark, Noelle, Hannah and Daisy. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Hendrickson of Falmouth.

A private graveside service and burial was held at the "Erikson" lot in the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.
